Tyson's 1st bath at the hospital
I loved the orange cap the hospital gave him.
This shows off how truly cute he is. 1st bath at home.
This was a quick delivery! I had been having contractions for a few weeks and my Dr. suggested getting induced, which I turned down. I had been able to go into labor with my other 2, and really wanted to go on my own. But by Tuesday I had had enough. The contractions were getting stronger, but still wouldn't progress, so Wednesday afternoon I called just to see about the possibility of an induction, and have one scheduled for the next week just in case. My doctor scheduled it for the next day! With Skyler's labor being 28 hrs. they wern't sure how long it would take and at very least he would be born by Friday and my doctor would be here for it.
The hospital couldn't get me in until 12pm on Thursday, and even while they were getting everything set up, I was having contractions. They started me on petocin around 1 pm, and luckily I was able to get and epidural in time. Tyson was born at 4:45 pm, just under 4 hours. It was all very quick, and we pushed just 3 times, all on one contraction and under 2 min. We were a little worried because I was strep B positive and they were not able to get all the antibiotic in before he was born. They took him to the nic unit for testing and he seems fine now, we'll just have to keep a careful eye on him for the next little while. We all seem to be doing good, just tired and happy he is here healthy. I have forgotten how little sleep you get, but how awesome the sleep is not being pregnant, and for that I am grateful.
